Leading ambassadors saddle up again at Festival as high-profile campaign generates over 1 million impressions
Fast-growing iGaming business Checkd Group broke new ground during the Cheltenham Festival, with the renewal of its ITV7 video campaign and the addition of racing content to its popular Tipster Hub driving best-ever engagement levels.
For the second year running, Checkd Media, Checkd Group’s core brand division, produced videos for an ITV7 campaign in which video content was produced for its betting brand The Winners Enclosure (TWE). The campaign generated over 1 million impressions and 57,390 branded video views.
ITV7 ambassadors Ed Chamberlin and Oli Bell featured in content that was pushed out on social media channels and the TWE YouTube channel. Daily videos with high-profile influencer and racing personality Frankie Foster were created to chat through ITV7 picks and rationale, which were also delivered across social media platforms.
Checkd Dev, Checkd Group’s in-house tech division, built a racing product within Tipster Hub so that racing-specific tournaments could be offered to users at Cheltenham. Following on from the launch of football contests on Tipster Hub, which features within the award-winning Betting Hub app, settlement for non-runners and dead heats was added to the functionality so that tournaments are run fairly.
Tournaments can also be configured with tips restricted to countries, meetings and individual races, while dual competitions featuring both football and horse racing can also be constructed, ensuring that the appeal extends across the entries Checkd Group user base. Cheltenham Tournament activity on Tipster Hub produced impressive engagement levels, with over 7,000 individual tips entered across a week-long Cheltenham Tipster Tournament and Daily Tournaments sponsored by several Festival partners.
Checkd Group’s positive performance around the Cheltenham Festival underlines the progress the company has made in recent months in both the UK and the US, with the impending launch of a new FlashPicks app set to further boost growth in the coming months.
Will Tyrrell, Director of UK Media at Checkd Group, said: “The Cheltenham Festival is increasingly appealing to a broader audience and it is a key focus of ours to produce content and solutions that speak to a broad user base, including the more casual racing fans.
“It is pleasing to report that the addition of racing to Tipster Hub has produced a very promising set of results, which is another feather in the cap for our Checkd Dev division. Checkd Media also recorded excellent engagement levels across an ITV7 campaign that proved positive both with racing fans and our operator partners.”
