Rootz LTD Acquires ISO 27001 Audit Certification
Leading online casino operator Rootz LTD has this week passed the ISO 27001 audit.
The ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is an independent body tasked with developing standards for assuring the quality, safety and efficiency of services provided by business.
ISO 27001, in particular, sets out the best practices for an Information Security Management System by adopting a risk-based approach to Information Security, and is a requirement of all prospective iGaming operators hoping to enter the German market.
First Step in German License Approval
The important milestone is the first step towards obtaining a full iGaming license that would permit Rootz to offer remote iGaming services to players based in Germany.
It comes following months of toil behind the scenes at Rootz HQ where employees invested long hours to meet all regulatory requirements within an extremely tight time-frame. The workload was significant but the company gamely overcame the many challenges presented before them in pursuit of their shared business goal.
Further audit requests are expected to be processed in the coming months with a view to entering additional white-listed iGaming markets as the firm looks to solidify its place as a major player on the international stage.
With a fourth, capstone brand in the pipeline, the news also represents perfect timing for visionaries Rootz.
Returning to its signature zed-based naming convention, Spinz Casino is expected to be launched at some point in Q1 2022 with a laser-sharp focus on providing quality live streaming content that aims to reimagine a proven industry concept.
Well Positioned for Future Expansion
Rootz LTD CEO, Lasse Rantala, was proud of his team’s efforts in light of the audit certification, saying effusively: “I am particularly pleased with the commitment and hard work shown by Rootz employees in the face of such challenging times, demonstrated at all points throughout the certification process.
“The audit certification lays the foundations for entering additional jurisdictions and as such we are well-positioned for further international expansion. Together we eagerly look forward to the next exciting chapter in the Rootz story.”
Commenting on the need for robust Information Security safeguards, he added: “It goes without saying that information security is of paramount importance in our increasingly digitsed world and we welcome the move towards to a fully regulated global iGaming environment.”
Widespread Success
Malta-based Rootz LTD has enjoyed widespread success since the launch of flagship brand, Wildz, in 2019.
The operator has gone on to receive numerous industry awards in recognition of its impressive achievements against an incredibly competitive market backdrop, highlighted by this year’s stunning showing at the MiGEA Awards ceremony in Malta. Rootz stole the show by taking home an impressive quartet of trophies.
That four-strong trophy haul was added to recently in the CasinoGrounds 2021 Awards, where the operator’s most recent portfolio addition, Wheelz, prevailed in the coveted ‘Rising Casino’ category.
Automation at the Heart
Rootz comprises a collection of industry veterans with a fervent passion for gaming. In addtion to its dedicated, skilled workforce, the outfit credits its success to its own custom-built proprietary platform offering a full-scope iGaming solution with automation, speed and player customisation at the heart.

PokerOrg named official media partner of Asian Poker Tour
Exclusive global deal covers APT Taipei, Incheon, Jeju and the APT Championship in Taipei through the rest of 2026.
PokerOrg has been appointed the Official Media Partner of the Asian Poker Tour (APT) under an exclusive global partnership announced April 20, 2026 in Douglas, Isle of Man.
The agreement makes PokerOrg APT’s global storytelling and audience development partner for the tour’s remaining 2026 stops: APT Taipei (April/May), APT Incheon (August), APT Jeju (September/October), and the APT Championship (November), which will again be held in Taipei.
APT said it has been the fastest growing poker tour in the world since the “APT New Era” began in 2023. The company also pointed to the debut APT Championship, which it said generated more than $34 million in prize money.
“APT has been one of the most important stories in poker for several years, but much of the global audience hasn’t experienced it yet,” said Eric Hollreiser, CEO of PokerOrg parent company Triple Barrel Media. “This partnership changes that, not by reporting on APT from the outside, but by bringing players inside it and making it matter to a global audience.”
“PokerOrg is the gold standard in poker media, so bringing them on as our Official Media Partner is a natural fit. Their values around integrity and how they approach the game are fully aligned with APT.” said Fred Leung, CEO of the Asian Poker Tour.
PokerOrg said its coverage will include creator-led content, social-first formats and integrated event reporting across its platforms. The company also plans to launch a dedicated APT hub on Poker.org and extend its Pick 3 fan format to the APT Championship, with winners receiving a package to an APT event in 2027.
