Digital Marketing Agency ClickOut Media helped raise a record-breaking £40,000 for charities Willow Foundation, Haven House and St Francis Hospice after being one of the lead sponsors of the celebrity-studded Target Sports Stars Fishing Championship.

In their third consecutive year backing the fishing extravaganza, the leading digital marketing agency pitted sports personalities against one another in a bid to land the heaviest catch of the day- but their very own Neil Roarty held off competition from the likes of Luke Littler, Tony Bellew and Barry Hearn to reel in the biggest fish.

Other celebrity anglers competing included darts greats Adrian Lewis, Rob Cross and James Wade with the competition staged by JBD Events, broadcast on ITV4.

A record-breaking £40,000 was raised and will be split between charities The Willow Foundation, Haven House Hospice and St Francis Hospice.

The Willow Foundation helps seriously ill young adults create memories with unique experiences, Haven House provides specialist care to sick young adults, while Saint Francis Hospice help with expert palliative and end of life care.

Neil Roarty, who also won the team competition with Team JBD, said: “As a complete amateur angler it was great to pull off a bit of a shock victory – especially when coming up against athletes who are used to winning on the biggest stages.

“But the real highlight of the day was raising money and awareness for three great causes all doing essential work, as part of our continued charity collaboration at ClickOut Media.”

The Championship was broadcast live on ITV4 and highlights can be watched on the ITV player.

The event follows ClickOut Media’s recent £5,000 donation to Tony Bellew’s Rotunda Amateur Boxing Club in Liverpool, supporting their community outreach efforts.
