The Dutch Gaming Authority Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) has issued fines totalling €1.8m to two unlicensed companies, Equinox Dynamic and Domiseda and Partners, for offering illegal casino games.

Separate fines of €900K were issued to Equinox Dynamic NV, who are licensed in Curacao and Slovak business Domiseda and Partners.

KSA judged that “Both companies gave players in the Netherlands access to games of chance without the necessary license, in violation of the Betting and Gaming Act.”

The fines were amongst the highest issued by KSA, which detailed that Equinox and Domiseda had breached “various aggravating factors”, such as promoting high bonus incentives and providing no age verification to access their platforms.

Casework cited that “casino games were offered without a license on the website orientxpresscasino.com. Investigation revealed that Equinox Dynamic and Domiseda both acted as providers. That is why the Gaming Authority imposed a fine on both providers for the violation.”

Signing off on the €900K fines, KSA Chairman René Jansen stated that both operators were a “clear threat to the safe play” mandate of the KOA marketplace.

“The objective is to create a safe environment for people who want to gamble online. This includes taking strict action against illegal providers,” Jansen remarked.
