The latest monthly statistics from the Danish Gambling Authority shows that Danes’ gambling spend increased in August 2025 compared to the same month last year.

The statistics show that Danes’ total gambling spend in August increased by 25.1% compared to August 2024.

The increase in the total spending was particularly driven by an increase in the spending on online casinos and betting, which were 20.7% and 53.4% respectively compared to August 2024. At the same time, land-based casinos experienced a smaller increase of 4.9% compared to the same month last year. Slot machines, on the other hand, saw a small decrease of 0.7%.

The monthly statistics also contain figures for the Danish Gambling Authority’s Register of Voluntarily Excluded Players (ROFUS) and the helpline StopSpillet.
