AvatarUX introduces new cascading mechanic in GemPops
Award-winning slots studio AvatarUX has rolled out a brand-new mechanic in newest title, GemPops.
Every spin starts with a variable reel height, which can be as small as three reels or up to seven positions high. In addition, there is a reel multiplier assigned to each individual one, which increases every time there is a symbol win. During base play, whenever it reaches max height, the multiplier is awarded.
The Popscade mechanic sees all winning symbols in a combination disappear, with fresh ones cascading down from the heightened reel, rather than ‘popping’ into the empty cell, as per the iconic PopWins™ associated with AvatarUX.
Three or more diamond bonus symbols will trigger the free spins mode, where players can also use the Gamble Wheel to earn the chance for increased spins and a higher starting multiplier.
During the bonus, Xpops can be triggered, causing symbols to pop by a random amount ranging from one to four times, while up to three more spins can be unlocked if special bombs land on the reel.
If a reel is unlocked to its full height in the free spins mode, the accompanied multiplier is transferred to the total multiplier amount, further boosting win potential.
In addition, GemPops contains both a Buy Bonus and Ante Bet option in certain jurisdictions, further boosting player engagement.
The game is initially available exclusively to AvatarUX’s partners with direct integrations and will be rolled out globally later.
Nicola Longmuir, CEO at AvatarUX, said: “We’re thrilled to roll out GemPops, incorporating some exciting new mechanics that further explore extended spins and expanded paylines in every single spin.
“We have made it our mission to create engaging, forward-looking games, mechanics, and products, and this is yet another example of the strides we’re taking as a slot studio.”
