Quantum buys Cashback.co.uk and Custard rewards brands from Submission Technology
Quantum has agreed to acquire Cashback.co.uk, JoinCustard.co.uk and the Custard mobile app from Submission Technology, with the transaction set to complete on 1 July 2026. The deal adds two consumer rewards brands to Quantum’s portfolio and marks its entry into the digital rewards and cashback segment.
Cashback.co.uk operates as a UK cashback platform, while JoinCustard.co.uk launched in October 2024 as a digital rewards and gifting platform. The Custard mobile app is included as part of the acquisition.
Quantum said the acquisition expands its footprint beyond affiliate marketing into direct-to-consumer rewards products. The buyer pointed to 36% year-on-year revenue growth in 2025 and recent launches in Ireland, South Africa and multiple US states, adding that it now operates across the UK, US, Ireland and South Africa.
Jamie Walters, CEO of Quantum International Holdings, said: “Cashback and Custard are proven platforms with loyal users, clear product-market fit, and strong commercial potential. What they need now is scale, and that is where Quantum can add real value.
“We have the data, technology, and performance mindset to grow these platforms quickly and responsibly. This is a bold move into a fast-growing consumer rewards space, and a natural next step in our ambition to connect more people with better value across the digital economy.”
Quantum said its Qi Platform will support the acquired assets through faster product iteration, improved personalisation and deeper insight into user behaviour, with its in-house data engineering, machine learning and software engineering teams supporting integration.
Neil Durrant, CEO of Submission Technology, said: “We built Cashback and Custard from the ground up, and we are incredibly proud of what the team has achieved. Quantum is the right home for these platforms.
“Their technology, commercial relationships and ambition make them well placed to take Cashback and Custard to a much bigger audience. It is an exciting next chapter for both businesses.” Financial terms were not disclosed.

ReferOn shortlisted for Best Affiliate Management Platform at iGB Awards 2026
Winners will be announced on July 2 during iGB L!VE week in London.
Affiliate management platform ReferOn has been shortlisted for “Best Affiliate Management Platform” at the iGB Affiliate Awards 2026. The winners will be announced live on July 2 during iGB L!VE week in London.
ReferOn said the nomination reflects its recent growth and product development, positioning the platform for high-volume affiliate programmes. The company said it processes “millions of data points” across partner networks and automates operational workflows to reduce admin overhead for operators and affiliates.
Alex Bukin, CEO at ReferOn, commented on the shortlisting: “Being shortlisted for an iGB Affiliate Award is a significant milestone for our team. As affiliate programmes scale, complexity often becomes the biggest obstacle to growth. Our goal is to remove that complexity by giving operators clearer insights, stronger automation, and full control over their affiliate operations. This nomination reflects the direction in which we’re continuing to invest in.”
The company also pointed to a recent platform update, Refie, described as a new user experience layer aimed at simplifying navigation of complex workflows. ReferOn said Refie provides clearer visual guidance across onboarding screens and system state pages, with the goal of improving visibility across operational processes.
ReferOn said it will attend iGB L!VE London to meet partners, operators, and affiliates.

Toucan report: Casino.org leads AI search visibility among US iGaming affiliates
Casino.org ranks as the most visible US-facing iGaming affiliate across major AI platforms, according to a new AI Search Visibility report from Toucan International. The study tested 100 iGaming-related consumer prompts across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity.
Toucan said it ranked 146 affiliates using four measures: the number of times a brand was cited, the number of prompts it was cited in, the total number of times the brand was mentioned, and the number of prompts mentioned in. Casino.org scored 96.8 out of 100, driven by 198 citations across 61 of the 100 prompts—giving it a 19-point lead over BettingUSA.com.
BettingUSA.com placed second with an overall score of 77.6. Toucan noted the affiliate had the most “times mentioned” (27) and “prompts mentioned in” (23), but appeared in fewer “prompts cited in” (50), which the report weighted most heavily. SportsLine ranked third with a score of 74.4, leading the study on “prompts cited in” with 64 and recording 178 total citations.
Covers.com (72.2) and RotoWire (69.8) rounded out the top five. Toucan said the top three affiliates accounted for 37% of citations from a total of 1,755 across the dataset, with the remaining 143 affiliates comprising the rest.
George Webb, Organic Search Director at Toucan International, said: “What the findings reveal is that there is a clear dominance among some of the top affiliates, there is a reasonably broad ecosystem, and dominance isn’t a foregone conclusion.
“We gave the number of prompts a brand is cited in the highest weighting, at 40 per cent, because it’s the best measure of authority in AI Search. Total citations tell you how often a brand shows up, but those can stack up inside a handful of answers. The number of prompts you’re cited in tells you how many different questions the AI trusts you to answer, and that breadth is much harder to earn and much harder for a rival to take off you. It’s also where the commercial value sits: the wider the range of prompts you appear in, the more of the real search demand you’re exposed to.
“Casino.org’s leadership in the report stems almost entirely from citation volume (198) rather than prose mentions (26), meaning it appears as a referenced source rather than a naturally embedded recommendation, whereas BettingUSA.com punches above its citation weight (94) by securing 27 prose mentions, suggesting more organic integration into AI reasoning.
“What I would express to the brands looking to make gains in AI search is that the results are not random and that best practice in terms of how you present onsite content, technical setup and targeting backlinks and coverage from the sources that LLMs are trained on, through Digital PR, can see you improve.”
