Exciting company adds serious firepower to its C-suite with major hire
La Royale Gaming Investments, a pioneering holding company that brings together a unique ecosystem of innovative online and offline companies through strategic mergers and acquisitions, has strengthened its executive leadership with the appointment of Eamonn Faulkner.
With over two decades of industry experience, Faulkner joins the company as Chief Operating Officer from his previous position at the renowned operator, Videoslots.
This is a major hire for La Royale Gaming Investments, bringing unrivalled experience and a high level of expertise to its management team.
Faulkner’s career is marked with stints at major operators, including Paddy Power where he spent eight years contributing to the brand’s development in a competitive landscape dominated by industry giants such as Ladbrokes, William Hill and bet365.
Subsequently, Faulker moved on to Betfair, assuming leadership of the Sportsbook Operations team. Following the merger of Paddy Power and Betfair, he joined the Matchbook Betting Exchange contributing to the development of their Customer Operations team.
He also enjoyed a tenure at SB Tech leading a B2C sportsbook prior to its acquisition by DraftKings. He then consulted several US sportsbooks on market entry strategies and player value maximisation before joining an India-facing gambling business.
Before joining La Royale Gaming Investments, Faulkner served as the Chief Operating Officer for the popular online casino brand, Videoslots, in Malta. In this role, he managed one-third of the company’s workforce, managing operations, customer service, payment processes, risk management, responsible gambling initiatives and sportsbook operations.
Dee Maher, Chief Executive Officer of La Royale Gaming Investments, said: “Eamonn is one of the most experienced executives in the industry and we are thrilled to name him as our Chief Operating Officer.
“That we can attract such a high calibre executive to the team is a testament to what we have in store as we further establish ourselves as a top-flight company in the industry. Eamonn will be crucial to achieving our goals and I look forward to working with him.”
Eamonn Faulkner, COO at La Royale Gaming Investments, added: “La Royale is a company with bold ambitions to become a major player in the global gambling industry and I am excited to be a part of what will be an incredible journey for the organisation.
“I know I can bring a lot to the table and play my part in ensuring we not only meet our goals but surpass them. I can’t wait to get started.”

What Does a Win Feel Like? WinSpirit Is Trying to Find Out
As competition among online casino operators increasingly centers on bonus size and game catalogs, WinSpirit is testing a different kind of engagement. The company has launched Euphoria Lab, a project built around an unusual premise for the industry: asking players not about payouts, but about feelings.
Players are invited to share the emotions, memories, and scents they connect with winning. Some describe it as the smell of rain before a summer storm, others mention morning coffee, sea breeze, or the charge in the air right before a result is announced.
The initiative sits within WinSpirit’s summer campaign, but its ambition reaches beyond typical promotions or gameplay mechanics. Euphoria Lab turns attention to the emotional side of play — the moments that stay with players long after a session ends.
Every response collected becomes part of a larger creative project WinSpirit intends to unveil later this year. The company has kept the details under wraps, saying only that the concept moves in a direction rarely seen in the online casino space.
Rather than the usual focus on numbers, odds, or promotions, Euphoria Lab asks a simpler question: not what a win pays out, but what it feels like.
The project is live now, with players across several markets already contributing their answers — a growing, community-shaped experiment with no fixed endpoint yet.
