GAMOMAT expands Gaming for the Climate initiative with Lava Lions
GAMOMAT, one of the leading independent software developers for slot games, has expanded its Gaming for the Climate initiative by introducing Lava Lions to the campaign in support of the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF).
Lava Lions first launched in June 2021 and has proved a scorching success thanks to its glowing graphics that elevate the Diamond Wilds, Volcano Scatters and the top-paying stacked Lion symbol. It will slot within the Gaming for the Climate project which was created as a vehicle to donate a share of GAMOMAT’s net revenues from selected games in support of conservation projects.
A portion of the net revenue of GAMOMAT raised from the latest game will contribute to AWF’s goal of informing and enhancing regional conservation strategies. A core element is engaging communities in land-use planning and restoration activities, promoting land conservation and forest management. AWF co-manages protected areas to help ensure long-term sustainability.
Funding from AWF to the conservancies supports implementation of patrol strategies to combat illegal wildlife trafficking activities. Efforts are also made to improve landscape connectivity between Tsavo West and Tsavo East National Parks and adjacent community-based conservancies and ranches, restoring overgrazed areas. Overall, the project supports a habitat that stretches across 42,000 square kilometres, home to approximately 430 lions.
Lava Lions joins Book of Oasis and Monkey Mania as the third Gaming for the Climate title to continuously support climate protection. Since 2021 Healthy Seas receives revenue from Book of Oasis and Monkey Mania continues to help Borneo Orangutan Survival (BOS) after launching last year.
Lava Lions is available to Bragg operator partners through Bragg HUB and for social gaming via Whow.
Dietmar Hermjohannes – Founder of GAMOMAT said: “Our Gaming for the Climate initiative is continuing to have a positive impact in fighting back against the environmental decline we face today. It’s with great pride that we welcome Lava Lions into the initiative and we expect this latest addition to contribute to the cause.”
