Four Countries Secure Spots for World Esports Championships Finals

The International Esports Federation (IESF) Panam Open concluded in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after three exciting days of competition.

Argentina, Peru, Brazil and Mexico topped the podiums and will advance to 14th World Esports Championships Finals in Bali, Indonesia in December. The event featured 10 IESF Member Federations from the Pan American region competing for a total prize pool of $250,000.

The inaugural Panam Open featured six game titles, including CS:GO, Dota 2, PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, eFootball™️ , and Tekken 7. Online preliminary qualifiers were held to determine the champions of four zones, North America, North Latin America, South Latin America and Brazil who then faced off at the Centro Costa Salguero in Buenos Aires, as part of the Argentina Game Show 2022, which saw over 100 thousand attendees over the course of three days. The 8th edition of the game show is Argentina’s largest gamer event yet, with the purpose of celebrating video games.

The world’s best esports players will face off at the 2022 WE Championships Finals, scheduled to take place in Bali from December 1 to 12. As the largest edition of the event to date, the Finals will feature a record $500,000 prize pool and see athletes from 120 nations of the World Esports Family compete under their flags.
