IBIA and H2 Gambling Capital extend betting market data partnership

The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) and H2 Gambling Capital (H2), the leading bodies globally on betting integrity and gambling market data, have extended their partnership agreement. That arrangement maintains H2 as the official betting market data partner of the integrity association and includes access to H2’s extensive market database of circa 2 million data points covering 160+ gambling jurisdictions in over 100 countries. H2 data has been employed in IBIA responses to regulatory consultations and wider market activities, notably the Optimum Betting Market Study published in June 2021.

Khalid Ali, CEO of IBIA, said: “H2’s market leading and globally recognised dataset has been an important component of our policy deliberations and has underpinned our key market integrity and regulatory position. That data has been critical in advancing evidence-based proposals with a range of stakeholders around the world. IBIA therefore welcomes a continuation of our partnership, which comes at an important point in the development of regulated betting globally.”

The agreement comes as IBIA continues to expand its membership base and sphere of operation, having recently launched in North America, and where a number of US states and the Canadian province of Ontario have moved to require sports betting operators to be part of an integrity monitoring body. This mirrors a similar requirement in the recently opened online gambling market in the Netherlands, where the majority of online betting operators are now members of IBIA.

The International Betting Integrity Association is the leading global voice on integrity for the licensed betting industry. It is run by operators for operators, protecting its members from corruption through collective action. Its monitoring and alert platform is a highly effective anti-corruption tool that detects and reports suspicious activity on its members’ betting markets. The association has longstanding information sharing partnerships with leading sports and gambling regulators to utilise its data and prosecute corruption. It represents the sector at high-level policy discussion forums such as the IOC, UN, Council of Europe and European Commission.

DR Gaming Technology (DRGT) has appointed Stephane Henault – formerly of Light & Wonder, Scientific Games and Bally’s – as its new director of technical services.

The newly created role comes amid pending deals for DRG that will see it expand in Latin America and Africa.
