Bacta has welcomed the return of the physical Entertainment, Attractions & Gaming International (EAG) Expo for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic began.

With more than 200 exhibitors, 5,000 buyers and £20m expected spend, the EAG Expo is also set to be the first UK-based, international event for the amusements industry this year. The event is taking place from today (1st March) to Thursday 3rd March at the ExCel exhibition centre in London.

The EAG Expo comes at a pivotal time for the gaming and amusements industry and follows a decision to postpone the event, which was originally scheduled for January.

But due to the long break, excitement and buzz has gathered around the EAG Expo and bacta will have its own lounge at the ExCel centre.

Bacta is proudly supporting the event with a significant investment with aim of counter-acting some of the negative economic impact created by the pandemic.

Bacta and the organisers of the event are closely monitoring the Covid-19 situation and using the government’s latest guidance.

Bacta CEO John White said: “We are hugely excited that EAG is returning in its physical form and hope that by getting back in person we can build back even stronger as an industry. EAG is extremely important to us and many of our members and we are proud to be supporting the event.

“All bacta divisions, representing seaside amusements, high street gaming centres, suppliers to pub and clubs, as well as manufacturers and distributors, agreed unanimously in 2021 that we need to support EAG, which is a significant bacta asset.

“After endless hours of video calls over the past two years, we are also welcoming all attendees to our bacta lounge at EAG and we hope to see both new and familiar faces in London throughout this potentially pivotal three days.”
