SIS appoints Julian Wheeler as new Chief Technology Officer
SIS (Sports Information Services), the leading multi-channel supplier of 24/7 live betting services, has appointed Julian Wheeler as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the delivery of the company’s technology programmes and support its long-term strategic plans.
Wheeler has over 21 years of experience in broadcasting through his various roles at Sky New Zealand, which included five years as Chief Technology and Product Officer. He has also held senior positions at BT, where he was Director of Digital Media, and BskyB, as Head of IT. Most recently, Wheeler was Chief Product and Technology Officer at revenue management solutions company Xplor.
At SIS, he will be tasked with formulating a single strategy across the company’s technology teams within Architecture, Broadcast Engineering, IT Infrastructure, Programme Management, Service Delivery and Software Engineering.
Wheeler’s appointment adds significant technical know-how to the SIS Senior Management Team as the business aims to further enhance its diversification and international growth strategy.
