CAESARS SPORTSBOOK NAMED OFFICIAL SPORTS BETTING & iGAMING PARTNER OF MICHIGAN STATE ATHLETICS
Michigan State University (MSU) Athletics, MSU Sports Properties and Caesars Entertainment Inc. announced a multi-year partnership to make Caesars Sportsbook the Official and Exclusive Sports Betting Partner and iGaming Partner of MSU Athletics. The partnership combines fan engagement opportunities, a new premium seating area at Spartan Stadium, and an expansion of responsible sports gaming education.
Caesars Sportsbook will gain significant exposure through MSU’s sports properties and access to a wide range of hospitality assets and VIP experiences, which will be available to Caesars Sportsbook players, as part of the wide range of benefits offered through the industry-leading loyalty program, Caesars Rewards.
Assets include broadcast and digital content across MSU athletics, TV-visible signage across basketball, football and hockey, naming entitlement for a new premium seating area inside Spartan Stadium set to debut during the 2022 football season along with an outdoor tailgating area, and access to unique alumni and fan engagement opportunities surrounding varsity sports seasons currently underway. Spartan fans can also soon enjoy special emperor-worthy promotional offers on mobile sports betting, iGaming, and The World Series of Poker (WSOP®) product offerings.
“Michigan State has a proud tradition of excellence and partnering with an internationally recognized brand in college athletics is a great opportunity for us,” said Eric Hession, Co-President of Caesars Digital. “The Spartan fan base and alumni network is passionate and well-established across the country. We look forward to building upon our connection with them while strengthening the legacy we hold in the state of Michigan and advancing scholarship opportunities through this partnership.”
In addition to providing a significant financial commitment to MSU, Caesars Sportsbook will provide annual funds to support student-athlete responsible gaming education, student scholarships, as well as internship and professional development opportunities for MSU students pursuing a career in the sports industry.
“The opportunity to partner with Caesars, a leading force in the sports and entertainment industry, will help enhance gameday experiences for Spartan fans and provide significant resources to support the growing needs of each of our varsity programs,” said Alan Haller, Michigan State Vice President and Director of Athletics. “We are excited to be on the cutting edge of this innovative opportunity, while recognizing the importance of Caesars’ commitment to responsible sports gaming education both for the student-athletes and the University community as a whole.”
This agreement also places an emphasis on the expansion of responsible sports gaming and education for the MSU community. Caesars Sportsbook is committed to working with the Michigan Association on Problem Gambling (MAPG), regulators and the community to provide responsible gaming resources to all eligible sports bettors in the state and driving awareness of the responsible gaming tools available on the Caesars Sportsbook app.
This partnership was facilitated by MSU’s third-party multi-media rights holder, Playfly Sports.
“The rapidly expanding interest around gaming in the college space has pushed us to create strategic opportunities for our college properties that not only provide impactful gaming education resources but also significant opportunities to drive new sources of revenue,” said Christy Hedgpeth, President of Playfly Sports Properties. “Connecting Caesars’ iconic brand to MSU’s passionate community of students, fans and alumni is a perfect fit and another example of how partnerships like this are creating tremendous benefits for all parties involved.”

Caesars Sportsbook to Expand Wagering Footprint in Washington, D.C.
Caesars Entertainment Inc. announced it will bring Caesars Sportsbook self-service kiosks to 53 small businesses across Washington, D.C. Caesars Sportsbook wagering kiosks will replace the GambetDC sports wagering kiosks currently in place at OLG-licensed sports betting retail locations. In addition to wagering, the kiosks will accept cash deposits to Caesars Sportsbook mobile accounts.
“We appreciate the Office of Lottery and Gaming for providing us the opportunity to further our connection with sports fans in our nation’s capital. Our self-service betting kiosks are an excellent addition to our sports wagering options in D.C. Whether sports fans prefer a traditional ticket-in-hand wagering experience or want to simply deposit cash for their mobile app account, our kiosks enhance the premier sports betting experience we offer through the combination of options and convenience that supports dozens of small businesses locally,” said Eric Hession, President of Caesars Digital.
“D.C. residents and visitors will soon have access to best-in-class sports wagering kiosks at retail locations across the city. We are pleased to partner with Caesars, a key industry player and the leader in retail sport betting operations, which is demonstrating its commitment to the D.C. community,” said Eugene Vlasenko, Interim Executive Director of OLG.
With thousands of markets and lightning-fast functionality, Caesars Sportsbook betting kiosks will provide the gold-standard sports wagering experience sports fans are familiar with on the Caesars Sportsbook mobile app.
Every wager placed with Caesars Sportsbook, whether at a kiosk, in-person Caesars Sportsbook at Capital One Arena, or on the mobile app, earns Reward Credits redeemable for unforgettable experiences made possible through the industry-leading loyalty program, Caesars Rewards. Sports fans 21 and older can download the Caesars Sportsbook app on iOS and Android or access it via desktop.
In July 2024, Caesars expanded its flagship mobile sports wagering platform, Caesars Sportsbook, across Washington, D.C., except for in restricted areas. Caesars has offered in-person sports betting at Capital One Arena since 2021 through its landmark partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE). Caesars Sportsbook at Capital One Arena made history as the first sportsbook in a U.S. professional sports venue.
Caesars Entertainment remains committed to promoting Responsible Gaming awareness and education as Caesars Sportsbook expands into more jurisdictions. In 2023, the Company implemented a refreshed 21+ policy, which certifies that all Caesars Rewards accounts are only made available to individuals 21 and older, and, where allowed by law, limits all domestic gaming, pari-mutuel, sports, and iGaming options to those 21 and older. This 21 and older policy applies to all sports wagering operations conducted by Caesars Sportsbook in Washington, D.C., including on the Caesars Sportsbook app and at all in-person sports betting locations.
Caesars Sportsbook self-service betting kiosks throughout Washington, D.C. will enforce Caesars Entertainment’s enhanced 21 and older gaming policy. This policy applies to all in-person and online operations conducted by the Company and underscores Caesars’ commitment to Responsible Gaming and its established reputation as a leader in the industry.

Caesars Entertainment Partners with the Detroit Lions
Caesars Entertainment Inc. and the Detroit Lions announced a new partnership, making Caesars Sportsbook an Official Sports Betting Partner and Caesars Entertainment the Official iGaming Partner of the Detroit Lions. The collaboration with the defending NFC North Champions combines custom fan experiences for Caesars Rewards members with dynamic sponsorship assets and the use of official Detroit Lions logos and marks in multiple online casino games coming to Caesars’ digital platforms.
The first online casino game launch on behalf of this partnership will be a Live Dealer blackjack game featuring a custom-made Detroit Lions felt. The game is set to go live exclusively in Michigan at the start of the 2024-25 NFL season on Caesars Palace Online Casino and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino for online casino players 21 and older.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the Detroit Lions to bring opportunities to their fans that cater to their interests and are unique to the royal experience only Caesars can deliver. We’ve enjoyed a great relationship with sports fans in Michigan, and partnering with one of the most passionate fan bases in the NFL will help us grow that connection as we continue to expand our offerings in the state with the launch of Horseshoe Online Casino later this year,” said Eric Hession, President of Caesars Digital.
“As we embark on this season, we’re proud to enhance our fan experiences with Caesars Entertainment. This partnership will unite Lions fans who are passionate about the team, offering them exclusive opportunities to engage with us both at Gamedays at Ford Field and through Caesars’ digital platforms here in Michigan,” said Detroit Lions Vice President of Corporate Partnership Mace Aluia.
Caesars brands, including Caesars Sportsbook, Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, Caesars Palace Online Casino, and Horseshoe Online Casino, will be featured throughout Ford Field during Lions games. Additionally, Caesars brands will also be featured in radio spots on the Detroit Lions Radio Network and in team digital and social media.
This partnership builds on Caesars Entertainment’s presence in the region complementing its operation of the world-class destination, Caesars Windsor, located just across the Detroit River in Windsor, Ontario. The destination celebrated the grand opening of Ontario’s first full-service sportsbook, Caesars Sportsbook at Caesars Windsor, in January 2023, providing an elevated environment for sports fans and fans of the Detroit Lions to enjoy and wager on marque sporting events.
