Veloce Racing star produces podium performance at home W Series event

Reigning Champion Jamie Chadwick scored a podium in front of around 100,000 passionate spectators as the Veloce Racing star impressed the crowds at her home W Series event at Silverstone.

Veloce Racing team-mate Bruna Tomaselli made solid progress throughout the 30-minute race as the Brazilian crossed the finish line in 12th place, an improvement of three positions over the course of the contest.

Chadwick maintained third position off-the-line as she watched the lead battle between Alice Powell and Fabienne Wohlwend rage on throughout the race. Powell would eventually get the better of long-time leader Wohlwend following a short safety car period, whilst 23-year-old Chadwick powered to a podium and an important 15 championship points.

It was a relatively lonely race for Chadwick, but her consistency proved key, and despite not having the ultimate pace to challenge for victory the 23-year-old ensured that home silverware was secured for Veloce Racing.

Tomaselli also had eyes on a frenetic battle ahead of her during much of the encounter as the rookie carefully picked off those immediately in front. Overtaking proved difficult throughout the order, but Tomaselli performed well to take 12th place around the world-famous 3.66-mile Grand Prix circuit.

Chadwick now lies second in the overall Drivers’ standings, whilst Tomaselli is 11th overall.

Round 4 of the 2021 W Series will take place at the Hungaroring on 30/31 July.

Jamie Chadwick, Driver, Veloce Racing said: “It was a quiet race for me in third because we just didn’t have the pace to fight for victory today, but to get a podium in front of these fans is still absolutely fantastic.

“The atmosphere has been incredible here at Silverstone and I’ve never experienced anything like this. Points make prizes, and of course we would have liked to have scored the big points this weekend of all weekends, but it’s a long season and winning the championship is the ultimate goal.”

Bruna Tomaselli, Driver, Veloce Racing: “It was a good race today, but we knew it was going to be difficult after qualifying yesterday and we were unable to make too much progress from our grid position.

“We improved throughout and made up a few positions, but overtaking was quite difficult as the drivers were quite evenly matched in the midfield. I have learnt a lot this weekend and I’m already looking forward to the Hungaroring in two weeks’ time.”

Mariella Bailey, Team Principal, Veloce Racing: “It wasn’t to be today in terms of winning the race, but we can be pleased with a podium at our home event at Silverstone.

“It’s important to score points consistently, particularly on days when you maybe don’t have the pace to win, and that’s exactly what we’ve done. It has been a real honour to lead Jamie, Bruna and Veloce Racing for the first time this weekend, and we’re looking forward to improving further at the next event.”

Kaizen Gaming brand becomes an Official Regional Sponsor as World Cup 2026 approaches, with campaigns planned across digital, TV and OOH.

Betano has signed a new sponsorship agreement with the Argentina National Football Team, joining as an Official Regional Sponsor, the company said on April 29, 2026.

The deal was announced from Athens, Greece and Buenos Aires, Argentina, with the Kaizen Gaming-owned sports betting and gaming brand positioning the partnership ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

According to the company, the sponsorship will include “local 360° campaigns” featuring Betano’s tagline “Confiá” across digital media, television, and out-of-home (OOH) advertising. Betano also said it plans “high-engagement activations” intended to connect fans with the team.

In the release, Kaizen Gaming framed the agreement as part of a broader strategy to invest in top-tier sports partnerships to support international brand growth and “responsible gaming experiences.” Financial terms, territories covered under the “regional” designation, and contract duration were not disclosed.

PokerStars adds PokerStars Open Aix-en-Provence and confirms EPT Prague for 2026

New France stop runs Nov 2-8; EPT Prague returns to the Hilton Prague on Dec 2-13, both counting toward the PokerStars Live League.

PokerStars has added two stops to its 2026 live poker calendar: EPT Prague returns on Dec 2-13 at the Hilton Prague, and a new PokerStars Open event will debut in Aix-en-Provence, France, on Nov 2-8. The operator announced the dates on April 22, 2026.

Both events will award points in the PokerStars Live League, PokerStars’ annual leaderboard system across High, Medium, and Low tiers. PokerStars said more than €150,000 in PokerStars LIVE credit will be paid out to the top three finishers in each tier at year-end, plus a live freeroll with a €100,000 prize pool at the first EPT of 2027 for the top 30 finishers in each tier.

EPT Prague is set to run as an 11-day festival, with PokerStars flagging the High Roller and EPT Main Event among the headline tournaments. PokerStars cited last year’s Prague Main Event at more than 1,200 entries for a prize pool of more than €5.9 million, with Matan Krakow winning for more than €770,000.

The new PokerStars Open Aix-en-Provence stop will run in partnership with Texapoker at Pasino GRAND Partouche Aix-en-Provence. It becomes the latest confirmed date in PokerStars’ 2026 live lineup, which also includes EPT Monte Carlo (April 30 – May 10), PokerStars Open Namur (May 27 – June 7), PokerStars Open Malaga (June 22-28), and EPT Barcelona (August 16-29).
