Hunch cites 78% matchday retention for Super World Cup free-to-play suite

Hunch says its World Cup free-to-play game suite delivered 78% “round-on-round” retention across active match days for Super Technologies’ Brazil-facing operation, following the launch of its “Passa A Bola” product in the market.

The supplier said performance was driven by “Pass the Ball”, localised as “Passa A Bola”, a collaborative game designed to encourage same-game accumulator participation by letting friends build bets together. The campaign in Brazil was promoted on TV under Super’s regional brand and supported by ambassadors including Cafu and Zinho. Hunch said Super distributed more than €4m in prizes to customers over the World Cup period.

“Brazil is one of the most competitive and dynamic markets in our sector right now, and we know we need to deliver unforgettable experiences to our customers at the biggest moment of the year: the World Cup,” said Mark Flood, General Manager of Brazil at Super Technologies.

“We aimed, as we always do, to give our customers reasons to continue to be Super with us. Hunch delivered, as we knew they would, creating differentiated experiences that helped new users experience the depth of our sports product, and critically, enjoy that experience with friends.”

Hunch also rolled out a football-themed Bingo title ahead of the tournament’s first kick-off. The company said the Bingo game engaged over 85% of active Super sports bettors during the World Cup, using a nine-event sheet of same-game accumulator or bet builder selections, with rewards linked to the number of completed lines.

Hunch operates across six regulated jurisdictions—Romania, Brazil, Poland, Belgium, Serbia, and Greece—within the Super ecosystem, offering four free-to-play formats: Bingo, Pass the Ball, Predictor, and Hotstreak. Managing Director Rob Egan said: “Major tournaments are unique in that bettors lean heavily towards entertainment that enhances the primary viewing experiences. We saw this engagement gap in our World Cup planning, and by delivering products like Passa A Bola, we have directly targeted the cross-section of social interaction and same-game multi demand.”

Hunch, the free-to-play games unit within the Super Technologies (Super) ecosystem, said on July 21, 2026 that its World Cup game suite delivered “unprecedented” matchday engagement and retention performance for Super’s Brazil-facing offering.

The company said performance was driven by the debut of “Pass the Ball,” localized as “Passa A Bola” for Brazil, a collaborative game designed to encourage same-game accumulator activity by allowing friends to build bets together and follow results as a group. Super marketed the product on TV in Brazil with ambassadors including Cafu and Zinho, according to the release.

Hunch said Super’s free-to-play network retention—defined as players returning “round-on-round”—reached 78% across active match days during the tournament period, with more than €4m in prizes distributed to Super customers over the World Cup.

Hunch also said its Bingo title engaged over 85% of active Super sports bettors during the World Cup, with players using a nine-event same-game accumulator or bet builder sheet and earning rewards based on lines hit. The supplier said it currently operates across six regulated jurisdictions—Romania, Brazil, Poland, Belgium, Serbia, and Greece—under the Super umbrella, offering Bingo, Pass the Ball, Predictor, and Hotstreak, with product performance supported by direct integration and access to first-party player data.

Esportes Gaming Brasil (EGB) says all three of its brands—Esportes da Sorte, Onabet and Lottu—have been shortlisted for the Reclame Aqui Awards 2026, a Brazilian awards programme focused on corporate reputation and customer relationships. The group announced the nominations on Thursday 16th July.

EGB said it is the first time the three brands have been nominated simultaneously. Esportes da Sorte is shortlisted in the Ultra Sports Betting Operators (Mega Operations) category, while Onabet and Lottu are in the Sports Betting Operators (Mega Operations) category.

“Receiving nominations for all three Group brands at the Reclame Aqui Awards for the first time is incredibly meaningful recognition of the work we carry out every day. More than simply an achievement, it reflects our consistent strategy of putting the customer at the centre of every decision by investing in technology, operational efficiency and personalised customer service to build long-term relationships based on trust,” said Maria Neves, Director of Customer Experience, Customer Support and Reputation Channels at Esportes Gaming Brasil.

The company attributed the nominations to ongoing investment in customer service processes, technology integration, employee training and changes to the user journey across its brands. EGB also said it reduced average response time for human customer support from 30 minutes to two minutes.

Reclame Aqui Awards winners are decided by consumer voting, according to the company. Public voting for the 2026 edition is scheduled to run from 2 September to 5 November.
