PROJECT D: Human Risen Rises to Victory at the Game Development World Championship Weekly Vote!

PROJECT D: Human Risen by Indonesian development team Cat Games has won the weekly voting on Game Development World Championship Fan Favourite category for the second Community Games Week. The Nominees were picked from the Championship’s official Community Discord server which is open to all participating developers. Project D: Human Risen is available on Steam in Early Access.

“Project D: Human Risen is a multiplayer survival game with many islands to explore, build unique vehicles, and survive where players are the last human on earth. – – The year is 2022, earth hit by terror of extinction, a new virus called D-VIRUS spread fast enough to trigger human extinction. To prevent human extinction, researchers from all over the world gathered to find solution, after a long discussion, they name their project as Doomsday Project. – -” The Cat Games teams describes their game and the game’s story.

Cat Games moves onto the final round in the Fan Favourite category of the GDWC – Game Development World Championship. Their game will be in an open vote with the other weekly vote winners at the end of the GDWC 2020 season.

2nd place was taken by NeuroSlicers “A post-cyberpunk strategy game combining Solo, Co-Op, Competitive PVP and PVPVE gameplay into a narrative-driven whole” developed by Dream Harvest, United Kingdom.

3rd place went to Light of the Locked World “A fantasy role-playing game with real-time combat, persistence, complex NPCs, extensive character customization, local multiplayer with PVP, and a story about foiling a conspiracy that threatens a colonial, developing world”, by Zuurix, Lithuania.

The GDWC team sends congratulations to the winning team and big thanks to all Nominees and voters. The weekly votes take place each week, from Monday to Saturday and there are always six new exciting games to check out and vote for. This week’s vote is already live on the event website at thegdwc.com.
