Betano partners Fundación Empate on adapted football program in Argentina
Betano says it will fund weekly training for 192 athletes with Down syndrome and support the FUT21 National Tournament pathway ahead of October.
Betano has partnered with Fundación Empate to launch an adapted football-friendly tournament in Argentina, as part of the operator’s “Desafiá tus límites” (Challenge Your Limits) corporate responsibility programme.
The company said the partnership will support 192 athletes with Down syndrome by funding weekly practices, while also providing operational resources to strengthen training in the run-up to the FUT21 National Tournament in October. Fundación Empate describes FUT21 as Argentina’s main futsal competition for athletes with Down syndrome, bringing together delegations from across the country.
Germán Laborda, President of Fundación Empate, said: “For us, this support means much more than financial aid. It is a concrete opportunity for our players to keep growing, training, and showcasing all their talent. Having companies like Betano get involved in real inclusion helps bring visibility to the enormous effort and commitment of each member of our foundation.”
Alvaro Ferreres, Betano Country Manager for Argentina, added: “At Betano, we understand that social responsibility means getting truly involved and supporting the people behind every story. Supporting the players of Fundación Empate means proving that a company can be an ally that drives opportunities, inclusion, and development through sports.”
Beyond athlete funding, Betano said it will develop Teacher Training Workshops for Inclusive Sports aimed at more than 800 sports professionals, including coaches, physical education teachers and physiotherapists, as well as teams for athletes with Down Syndrome. The company positioned the initiative as part of its broader adapted sports activity under “Desafiá tus límites”, which it said also includes support for Argentina’s national blind football team, Los Murciélagos (The Bats).

Betano Strengthens its Commitment to Inclusive Sports in Argentina with a New Adapted Football Program
A new partnership with Fundación Empate supports the development of athletes with Down Syndrome as part of Betano’s “Desafiá tus límites” (Challenge Your Limits) Corporate Responsibility programme
In a meaningful step towards greater inclusion through sport, Betano, the premium online sports betting and gaming brand of Kaizen Gaming, has joined forces with Fundación Empate to launch an adapted football-friendly tournament, setting in motion the journey toward the foundation’s flagship annual tournament, one of the most significant inclusive sporting events in Argentina.
The initiative with Fundación Empate, a leading organisation in social inclusion through sports for young people with Down syndrome in Argentina, aims to create sustainable opportunities for growth within inclusive sport, with a strong focus on long-term athletic development.
The partnership, launched as part of Betano’s “Desafiá tus límites” (Challenge Your Limits) programme, will see Betano support 192 athletes with Down syndrome through the funding of weekly practices. It will also see Betano provide operational resources to help strengthen the training pathway leading up to the FUT21 National Tournament in October, Argentina’s most important futsal competition for athletes with Down syndrome that brings together athletes from different delegations across the country.
Germán Laborda, President of Fundación Empate, stated: “For us, this support means much more than financial aid. It is a concrete opportunity for our players to keep growing, training, and showcasing all their talent. Having companies like Betano get involved in real inclusion helps bring visibility to the enormous effort and commitment of each member of our foundation.”
In addition, Alvaro Ferreres, Betano Country Manager for Argentina, commented: “At Betano, we understand that social responsibility means getting truly involved and supporting the people behind every story. Supporting the players of Fundación Empate means proving that a company can be an ally that drives opportunities, inclusion, and development through sports.”
As part of its commitment, Betano will also expand its impact beyond the pitch by developing Teacher Training Workshops for Inclusive Sports, addressed to over 800 sports professionals, including coaches, physical education teachers and physiotherapists, as well as teams for athletes with Down Syndrome. The specialised program is designed to provide them with the latest methodologies and best practices for adapted sports environments. By combining grassroots sports development with professional training for educators, this partnership ensures a sustainable and high-impact ecosystem for inclusive football nationwide.
The foundation’s team, Empate Córdoba, is a benchmark in adapted Futsal. Last year, they achieved 3rd place in the championship zone at the 3rd National Futsal Tournament in San Luis in 2025. And in 2024, they were crowned champions of the 5th Argentine Futsal Tournament for people with Down Syndrome in Mendoza.
The partnership between Betano and Fundación Empate further builds on the company’s ongoing commitment to strengthening adapted sports, through its “Desafiá tus límites” programme, an area in which it is already making a tangible impact through its support of Los Murciélagos (The Bats), Argentina’s national blind football team. Through this partnership, the company has contributed to the development of more than 900 athletes across the country, investing in equipment, infrastructure, and direct support for high-performance athletes.

Kaizen Gaming rolls out GenAI-powered Betano Trivia across 20 markets
Kaizen Gaming has launched Betano Trivia, a live trivia product it describes as the world’s first fully GenAI-powered live trivia experience. The free-to-play game is now available across the 20 markets where Kaizen Gaming operates.
The product was developed by Kaizen Labs, the company’s innovation incubator. Kaizen Gaming said Betano Trivia uses generative AI to power the avatar presenter, create dynamic trivia content, and generate supporting audiovisual assets, positioning it as a new engagement format inside the Betano brand.
Players are invited to answer questions spanning sports, entertainment and pop culture and compete for prizes, according to the company. Kaizen Gaming also tied the timing of the launch to heightened global football attention, pitching the game as a second-screen-style entertainment layer for fans.
George Kourakos, Director of Innovation at Kaizen Gaming, stated: “Betano Trivia demonstrates how AI can be used to create entirely new forms of entertainment and customer engagement. At Kaizen Gaming we never use technology for its own sake. We have a clear goal to elevate the world-class gaming experience we offer to our customers. What makes this achievement particularly special is that it was developed entirely by our internal teams, combining creativity, engineering excellence and a shared passion for innovation across the board.”
Kaizen Gaming framed the release as part of its broader generative AI push, arguing that internal teams can use the technology to scale new product experiences across multiple regulated markets.
