Boldplay has gained a Notice of Recognition from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA).

A Recognition Notice works effectively the same way as full authorisation from the regulator. The notice acknowledges that a supplier provides appropriate safeguards, which are largely equivalent to those required by Maltese law.

As a result of this, Boldplay’s software is now deemed by the MGA to have fulfilled the necessary criteria for services in Malta; it can now offer its products to MGA-licensed operators.

Boldplay titles will be on offer to MGA-licensed operators such as Cyborg City and Warriors & Warlocks. Boldplay will hope to create new partnerships in the region and gain more customers with its range of products including, slots, table games, keno, bingo and virtual scratch cards.

This year, Boldplay gained its Gibraltar gaming licence and followed that by gaining its Romania licence. Boldplay also operates in the UK, Portugal and the Isle of Man.

Boldplay CEO Valli Fragoso said: “Acquiring this approval from the Malta Gaming Authority is a hugely important step for Boldplay that will enable us to share our diverse range of products with all locally-licensed operators.

“The Recognition Notice will sit alongside our existing Gibraltar and Romania licences and allow us to further establish the Boldplay brand in regulated markets across Europe.

“We’re immensely proud to have been granted the opportunity to begin working in the jurisdiction and we’re looking forward to seeing our games appear in MGA-licenced operators’ lobbies very shortly.”
