SKILLONNET AWARDED GERMAN LICENCE
German federal regulator greenlights SkillOnNet license and its leading German-facing brand DrueckGluek.de for online slots
Global gaming and entertainment brand SkillOnNet has received a license to offer online slots in all states of Germany from the country’s recently established federal gambling regulator, die Glücksspielbehörde (GGL).
The license will cover all SkillOnNet brands, but initially, the company’s main focus will be its flagship German-facing gaming site, DrueckGluek.de. The site is already a top brand in Germany, having operated since 2015 under a license from the state of Schleswig-Holstein, and latterly meeting the requirements of the State Treaty on Gambling, passed in the summer of 2021.
Schleswig-Holstein was the only German state to license online slot games prior to the implementation of national, and federal regulations last year.
Known for its extensive and creative TV campaigns, DrueckGluek.de has become a household name for online slots in the country and boasts a large base of loyal customers. The brand also sponsors 2. Bundesliga football team Holstein Kiel.
All SkillOnNet brands offer a wide variety of popular slots from the biggest providers in the market, as well as a choice of exciting slot tournaments.
The license underlines SkillOnNet’s commitment to responsible gaming and to working within regulated environments. The German-regulated market demands the highest standards of player protections and social responsibility.
Michael Golembo at SkillOnNet said: “Germany is a huge market with a massive audience for slots. Having the official German license means SkillOnNet players will be part of a fully regulated experience, feeling more confident, safe, and secure, many for the first time. It’s also a recognition that we meet the high standards of the German licensing regime and are prepared to work with regulators to meet those standards, reinforcing that responsible gaming is the cornerstone of everything we do.”
