Resorts World New York Launches Resorts WorldBET

Resorts World New York has launched its mobile sports betting app, Resorts WorldBET.

Users of the app must be 21 or older and physically in the state of New York during any time of play. New members will receive a risk-free bet of up to $500.

“This is something our players and sports enthusiasts have wanted for a long time, and we’re excited to say Resorts World New York now has mobile sports betting. From our experience in having a Sportsbook in both our Catskills and Las Vegas properties, we were able to take feedback from our players and deliver what New Yorkers really want in a mobile sports betting app. By partnering with an innovative product and technology focused company in PointsBet as our platform provider, we believe Resorts WorldBET will only add to our success,” Genting America’s East President Robert DeSalvio said.

“For us, it’s all about providing a complete world class gaming experience and delivering the latest technology to our guests and loyal customers. Our players trust us, and we’re excited to provide a safe way for them to place their favorite sports bets through the Resorts WorldBET app, which they can do from the comfort of their couch, or in the big screen environment of Bar 360 in Queens, or Sportsbook 360 at Resorts World Catskills,” said Darlene Monzo, Chief Marketing Officer, Genting America’s East.

As part of the app’s launch, Resorts World New York City (RWNYC) has invested nearly one million dollars to install digital displays across the property to show all of the big games throughout the year. Resorts World Catskills (RWC) is also home to Sportsbook 360, one of the only sportsbooks in New York offering in-person sports wagering to its customers.

Genting Rewards members will be treated to exclusive offers in celebration of Resorts WorldBET. Members who show the app and make a minimum $25 deposit can take home free gifts. The offer is valid from March 12 to April 4.

As part of Resorts World’s commitment to responsible gaming and technology, Resorts WorldBET’s advertising will feature a QR code provided by the New York State Gaming Commission which will deliver direct access to the Problem Gambling Resource Center.

CGA Announces Leadership Evolution and 2026 Board of Directors

Amanda Brewer becomes Senior Vice President of Policy & Communications and Brandon Aboultaif becomes Vice President of Western Canada; Salim Adatia (GLI) and Mike Maodus (Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP) join the CGA Board as Scott Vanderwel (PointsBet Canada) is appointed Chair.

Amanda Brewer has joined the Canadian Gaming Association (CGA) as Senior Vice President of Policy and Communications, and Brandon Aboultaif has assumed the position of Vice President for Western Canada.

Amanda has served as a consultant to the Association for over 15 years, playing a pivotal role in achieving numerous CGA milestones. “I am confident she will apply her enthusiasm and expertise to this new position, which more precisely aligns with her ongoing contributions on behalf of our members,” said Paul Burns, President and CEO, CGA. Amanda remains actively engaged in AML and advertising bill initiatives in Ottawa, along with the Alberta consultation process, where the Association is collaborating with the Government of Alberta and AGLC to prepare the province for its iGaming market launch.

Brandon is the former Press Secretary to Dale Nally, Minister of Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction and will be a great addition to the CGA. “With the Alberta market soon opening, it has been an important goal to expand our presence into the western part of the country,” added Mr. Burns. His key responsibilities include advancing industry research and education initiatives, supporting member engagement across Western Canada, and fostering collaboration on responsible gaming, innovation, and market development initiatives that strengthen Canada’s gaming ecosystem.

In addition, Salim Adatia, Managing Director, Canada for Gaming Laboratories International, LLC, and Mike Maodus, Partner, Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP, have joined the CGA’s Board of Directors, and Scott Vanderwel, CEO for PointsBet Canada, becomes the Association’s new Chair.
