Intema Completes Acquisition of Team Bloodhounds

Intema Solutions has completed the acquisition of Team Bloodhounds, owner of the Team BH esports team, previously disclosed on June 22, 2021.

Matteo built Team BH from the ground up, and in just three years, transformed it into a global juggernaut and Canada’s second most followed Fortnite esports team. Team BH has an engaged audience yet has barely scratched the surface as far as impact, influence, and reach in the esports space. We envision Team BH as a game-changing member of our growing esports ecosystem and are ready to help them take things to the next level,” Laurent Benezra, President and CEO of Intema, said.

“To keep the good news coming, I would also like to announce that our premier Influencers, including Randi “BH Motion” Tetzschner, Russell “BH Poetic” Tetzschner, Michael “BH Woods” Nelles, and Jose “BH Lvcid” Flores have all signed two-year contract extensions. They’ve been instrumental in our growth from the start, and I’m excited to continue working with them to expand Team BH,” Di Penta added.

Currently, Team Bloodhounds has 14 Fortnite players signed to its roster. The team hopes to extend into Activision’s Call of Duty and Riot Games’ Valorant. Team BH does not yet have competitive or content teams in either game, but this will be a top priority now that the transaction is complete.

St8 has extended its partnership with slot supplier Wazdan into Ontario, adding the supplier’s content to St8’s aggregation platform for operators in the Canadian province.

Under the agreement, St8 has integrated a selection of Wazdan slot titles for Ontario operators, including Mighty Fish: Blue Marlin, 36 Coins, Mighty Wild: Panther Grand Diamond Edition and Mighty Wild: Gorilla. EveryMatrix has received conditional licensing approval from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC) to offer its iGaming technology in Alberta.

The approval allows the supplier to provide casino and sports platform technologies to licensed operators in the province, which is expected to launch a regulated iGaming market in July. Alberta would become Canada’s second regulated iGaming territory after Ontario.

At launch, EveryMatrix said it will offer titles from its in-house studio Fantasma Games and aggregated content, with plans to expand its portfolio over time.

The company said the Alberta approval adds to its North American licensing footprint, which includes Ontario (since 2022) and US states New Jersey, Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. EveryMatrix also said it has signed agreements to deliver platform and in-house gaming content in Alberta.
