Mohegan Gaming Announces Ilani Casino Expansion Project

Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) has announced a major expansion project for its premier northwestern U.S. property, ilani Casino Resort.

In partnership with the Cowlitz Tribe, Howard S. Wright, and Friedmutter Group, ilani will feature additions to its exterior and interior designs, including two new restaurant venues, expanded gaming space, as well as a 14-story hotel tower.

The expansion is an extension of MGE’s global growth strategy and the Cowlitz Tribe’s long-term vision for its reservation, following the completion of ilani’s Meeting & Entertainment Center, parking garage, and convenience store.

“On the heels of combatting many challenges this year, we are thrilled to announce the expansion and growth of ilani, bringing a wealth of new amenities and entertainment options for future guests. As we continue on this path of strategic development, we recognize this expansion will bring growth, prosperity and excitement to the Pacific Northwest and further position ilani as the premier gaming, dining, entertainment and meeting destination in the region,” Mario Kontomerkos, CEO and President of Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, said.

St8 has extended its partnership with TonyBet into Alberta, expanding their Canada footprint following an earlier launch in Ontario this year.

Under the expanded agreement, TonyBet will use St8’s game aggregation platform through a single API integration. St8 said this provides access to its wider catalogue of casino content for players in Alberta.

St8 said the Alberta rollout follows its newly acquired registration to operate in the province as an iGaming Services Supplier, allowing it to provide aggregation services to licensed operators in the market. The company said its platform connects partners to more than 200 game providers via a single API.

IGT announced that its subsidiary, IGT Canada Solutions Limited (IGT), signed an agreement with Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) to supply 720 additional Sierra27 video lottery terminals (VLTs) in 2026. The agreement strengthens IGT’s position as a leading VLT supplier in Canada and marks the second consecutive year that IGT has been selected through WCLC’s competitive VLT procurement process.
